OZAKI VRec Sizer™
A New Choice for the Surgical Treatment of Aortic Valve Disease
Aortic valve reconstruction is a new surgical technique for aortic regurgitation and aortic stenosis. Unlike the conventional valve replacement of implanting a prosthetic valve, this surgery is to treat aortic valve by using the patient’s own pericardium. The device serves an important role during this new surgery. This device determines the size and shape of the valve to be constructed and allows the surgery to be performed smoothly.
A sizer set (OZAKI VRec sizer ™ / OZAKI VRecS ™) has been designed to be able to measure the distance between commissures of the original valve, which allows the size of a leaflet for each of three valves to be determined. There are twelve different sizers and one template with the form of twelve valves is included in each set, to accurately trim and measure the treated autologous pericardium into a valve leaflet.
– Preservation of natural motion of aortic root
– Bicuspid and Unicuspid can be reconstructed as Tricuspid
– Standardised techniques and proprietary device ensure reproducibility
– No anti-coagulation
